What we are about!
Chapter participation provides a unique combination of social interaction and professional dialogue among peers, in their own geographic area. Chapter members' backgrounds represent all facets of computing, from academia, research, business and industry; it will invariably focus on the kind of information and insight that cannot easily be gathered in any other way.
Hundreds of local chapters worldwide function as intellectual and geographical nodes of activity for both ACM members and the computing community at large, offering seminars, lectures, and the opportunity to meet peers and experts. Our Professional Chapters enable its members to network with others with similar interests. All have a shared goal and shared values: to advance computing as a science and a profession, guided by ACM’s Code of Ethics, Constitution and Bylaws that ensure a qualitative, transparent and democratic organization throughout.
